As a Category Buyer you are responsible for the procurement of all goods and services at cost-optimised and competitive conditions (Total Cost of Ownership), in compliance with the European purchasing policy and site-specific requirements. 

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Indenpendently manage, negotiate and award investement and repair contracts
  • Independently conclude maintenance, leasing and service agreements
  • Act as the contact person for the procurement of defined technical product groups
  • Coordination, implementation and participation in 
    • Germany-wide and Europe-wide purchasing projects
    • Establishment and shaping of supplier relationships
    • Identification of cost-saving potential and opportunities for continous improvement of workflows and their local implementation

 

Your Profile

  • Technical or business degree, or comparable professional qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in purchasing and project management are advantageous
  • Excellent negotiation skills and strong communication abilities
  • Very good knowledge of contact law
  • Good user knowledge of SAP (R3-HANA) and MS Office
  • Fluent comand of German language and very good comand of English language written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel
