Maintenance Electrician
Position Responsibilities:
-
Follow all safety regulations and policies as mandated by the company
-
Must wear all required and proper PPE for the task(s) being performed including Arc Flash, electrical rated boots, gloves and non-conductive equipment
-
Maintain clean and organized work area
-
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), suggest revisions as needed, and create SOPs as directed
-
Prepare and document work plans, job hazard analysis, job safety analysis, code required forms, checklists, LOTO, and internal procedural documents as required
-
Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance on existing electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure
-
Install, maintain, adjust, operate, test and repair branch circuits, power distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, lighting systems, motors, and conduit in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
-
Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
-
Perform work related to construction and operation, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electrical equipment inside and outside the plant including but not limited to: lift trucks, communication lines, programmable logic controllers, boilers, compressors, circuit breaker panels and controls, fans, transformers, computer equipment, HVAC equipment, motor drives, and any other electrical equipment or machinery used in the production process

Accomplish tasking working from verbal information, schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, documents, vendor/manufacturer manuals, and applicable electrical specifications and codes

Analyze situations and make technical decisions based on specifications, safety, and electrical codes
-
Work directly with operations and scheduling to plan and complete tasks to achieve continuous operations
-
Advise immediate direct report of job progress and material/labor requirements and communicate tasks performed
-
Proactively identify any unsafe conditions, hazards, or Code violations, and communicate them effectively with potential resolutions
-
Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
-
A current Journeyman Electrician license, a current Master Electrician license, or equivalent Union membership in good standing
-
Minimum 5-10 years experience in all phases of electrical work including rough-in, trim-out, wiring of electrical equipment and fixtures, conduit installation, motor starter, motor drives, and power distribution wiring including voltages up to 480 AC and 600 DC
-
Electrical experience in manufacturing/industrial facilities and/or construction and commercial sites
-
Must be able to read and decipher electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
-
Possess prior computer experience; SAP preferred
-
Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics
-
Maintaining punctual attendance and dedicated to meet expectations
-
Willingness to alter the work schedule to attend training to further develop maintenance skills
-
Willingness to work off-shift hours as needed and be on call
-
Willingness to cover and assist mechanical maintenance
-
Able to work in a team environment and have quick adaptability to learn on the job
-
In-house aptitude test required
Physical Requirements:

Lift up to 50 lbs. on frequent basis
-
Work in standing, bending, and stretching positions
Education:
-
High School Diploma/equivalent; higher education preferred
-
Documentation of completing a certified electrical apprentice program obtaining a journeyman status or equivalent
