Sappi Somerset, one of North America's largest paper mills, produces vast amounts of graphics and board paper, along with pulp. Originating in 1976 as a greenfield pulp mill, it supplied fiber for Scott paper tissue mills. Entry requirements:
  • Must have an applicable (2) year technical degree or in the final semester of obtaining an applicable (2) year technical degree. We will also consider candidates who have a minimum of (4) years of current experience in an industrial or military electrical and/or instrumentation environment.
  • Candidate must be willing to work in a team environment with varying work schedules; to include shift work.

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Strong instrument and/or electrical background with experience in process control instrumentation.
  • Experience with hands on maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS & PLC Systems, control circuits both medium and low voltage, AC & DC VFDs, and/or instruments used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level and consistency.
