Entry requirements:

Sappi Cloquet Operations currently has a Heavy Equipment Technician position open in our Maintenance Department.   

This position will fall under the current labor contract and could be expected to transfer to other process areas. 

Must have 2-3 years of current directly related experience in an industrial or military mechanical maintenance environment as a mobile equipment technician, or other multi-skilled craft mechanic.

Must be willing to work in a team environment with varying work schedules; to include shift work.


Knowledge and experience desired:

  • 2 year technical degree in an applicable area of study
  • Proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management System(s)
  • Experience with DC troubleshooting and repair
  • Mobile equipment service and diesel/propane engine repair/maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Basic welding experience
