Are you ready to get hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial environment? Join Sappi as an Industrial Mechanical Intern and work alongside experienced professionals in one of the region’s leading pulp and paper manufacturing facilities.

 

This internship is ideal for individuals who have completed—or are currently enrolled in—a technical craft program related to Industrial Maintenance. You’ll support maintenance and reliability efforts, assist with troubleshooting mechanical systems, and gain exposure to large-scale equipment and process operations. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills, learn from seasoned mentors, and contribute to real-world projects that keep our mill running efficiently.

 

This is a temporary role with a strong opportunity to transition into a full-time Mechanical Journeyman position.

 

We offer a flexible schedule to support your technical education, with opportunities for full-time work during summer, school breaks, and after graduation.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability work
  • Learn to safely operate and maintain large-scale industrial equipment
  • Support planned outages and daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians and engineers to solve real-world challenges

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recent graduate or current student in Industrial Maintenance or a related technical craft program
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in heavy manufacturing
  • Eagerness to learn, work safely, and contribute to a collaborative team
  • Valid driver’s license with a demonstrated safe driving record
