Overview:
This role supports strategic sourcing initiatives and manages service and capital procurement activities for the Cloquet Mill. The specialist executes sourcing strategies, negotiates supplier agreements, and collaborates with legal and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sourcing initiatives with minimal oversight, including bid development, evaluation, and contract execution.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Legal, and mill stakeholders to implement strategic sourcing plans.
  • Negotiate complex supplier agreements and ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Support transactional procurement tasks and ERP system processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance and participate in formal reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, sustainability, and audit requirements.
  • Act as a backup for Commodity Managers when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, logistics, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of progressive procurement experience.
  • CPSM or CPIM certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
