Test automation Specialist (m/f/d)

With more than 400 years of experience in papermaking, Sappi Gratkorn develops and produces high-quality, multi-coated paper using the latest technologies.


In this role you will work in our Global Finance Department and report directly to the Project Director Pelati.


Role and responsibilities:


Lead and drive GBS methodology to support all business activities by providing facts and figure

  • Develop and implement automated test scenarios to reduce work allocated to testing
  • Identify and help to identify potential improvement projects. Act as support to all management levels in identifying potential improvement projects by test automation
  • Promote process innovation and simplification. Seek to reduce all forms of waste, variability & inflexibility through line management by bringing the right test scenarios in place.
  • Support, coach, train and advise all levels of departments in identifying potential test automations and ensure the spread of best practice as much as possible in all opportunities.
  • Provide training to all levels to enable them to create their own test scenarios (actual and future situation).
  • Provide a platform where and how to store test scenarios


Responsible to consistently create and improve the test automation knowledge

  • Prepare and run trainings for business/ IT user and BPE
  • Responsible for the development and up-grading of all necessary training material. Improve user-friendliness of training modules and make them more interactive
  • Organize and perform – based on gap analyses and sign-off by respective line managers - training sessions for all processes


Project Involvement

  •  Drive, support, and align any initiatives / projects as allocated by the Global Process Owner.


Facilitate best practice exchange / External knowledge exchange

  • Facilitate best practice exchange amongst all locations
  • Ensure standardized way of handling defined global processes
  • Collaborate with other external companies on benchmark and further knowledge enhancements


Required qualifications:


  • Business related Master degree, or equivalent work
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a corporate organization.
  • Good knowledge and experience with all kind of systems
  • You proficiently speak English (company language English)
  • Good team player, excellent communication skills and customer oriented
  • Open to change, quick learner, creative, curious & flexible
  • Readiness for further education in new systems technologies
  • You are accurate and have feeling for numbers
  • High level of discipline and integrity.
  • Process knowledge and business expertise
  • Knowledge of underlying data structure
  • Know how in the area of SQL databases
  • SAP- user knowledge in one or the other area (MM, SD, FI, CO, PP)
  • Must be able to support global initiatives

  • Proven ability to handle data
  • Project and change management experience, with on-time and planned objective deliverables.
  • Ability to speak and write fluent English. Any other relevant language is an additional benefit.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. The ability to challenge and influence existing paradigms at all levels.
  • Proven track record of building successful, effective teams
  • Proven self-starter which propagates this behaviour in others.
  • Demonstrated outstanding facilitation skills.
  • Personal flexibility, open with others, and active listener.
  • Comfortable around higher management.
  • Strong peer relationships across Sappi departments and locations




This global position can be based in all Sappi Regions (Europe, South Africa, North America).

In Sappi Europe the locations are  Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Italy, Finland





Occasionally, it is sometimes necessary to travel to the group's locations (Europe, South Africa, North America)
