Position description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance Department at the Sappi Cracow Centre of Process Excellence as a GL Junior Accountant. In this role, you will support the Team Leader with local statutory accounting processes while managing your own scope of General Ledger (GL) and reporting activities for selected entities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in finance within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

More specifically, you will:

 

  • Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, also with a high level of complexity
  • Do the Journal Entry booking and Fixed Assets accounting 
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts 
  • Perform all other period end closing activities 
  • Ensure that all relevant Sappi standards and guidelines are met
  • Participate in assigned projects
  • Support, if required, other process areas e.g. during peak periods of work
  • Keep good relationship with co-workers, internal and external clients
  • Maintain of the Process Documentation
  • Work as a member of the team, participating in team activities, support other members of the team to increase their competencies and skills

 

 

Your profile

  • You have Accounting, Finance or Business related Bachelor or Master degree
  • You have at least 1 year of experience in financial environment
  • You have strong knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS) 
  • You have experience in financial reporting 
  • You have very good written and spoken English,
  • You have basic knowledge of ERP systems
  • You have good MS Excel skills
  • You have good analytical and reporting skills  
  • You have good time management abilities and are oriented on deadlines

 

 

We are hybrid and Flexible:

In Krakow office we work in a hybrid working model; as this position delivers high impact on-site, we expect you to be present in the office at least twice a week.
