 Kirkniemi Mill

 

The Kirkniemi mill in Lohja produces approximately 750,000 tonnes of high-quality magazine papers annually, which are used in publications around the world. Kirkniemi employs approximately 550 paper industry professionals from production to product development. At sites own maintenance department works 90 people and 15 project and design professionals in  T&E team. As our present T&E Manager moves to lead Central T&E department –  we are looking new leader for our local team.

 

Task description

 

As a Manager of T&E department you are responsible of technological and production process development of Kirkniemi site. Investment and long term planning with responsibility of yearly investment budget are core of your role. Efficient project management combined with strict crip of economical and safety aspects ensure your success with co-operation of our suppliers, production departments and maintenance.  Major expenditure projects needs your attention - as well done pre- studies and economical pay back calculations justifies our progress to be the best publication paper mill in the world. Natural part of successful projects is to fulfill our commitment towards safety, sustainability, environment, laws and quality in everything what we do.

 

As your team is packed with true project  professionals  – it is your responsibility to take care of their safety and wellbeing – simultaneously you look over the safety of everybody who are participating to the improvement process of  the Kirkniemi site. Professional development of your team as well bringing the latest technological breakthroughs is essential to make our production efficient.  You are skillful negotiator and good co-operation with your team and suppliers is natural for you. With your professional background you are able to help other departments to full fill their goals.  You are good with networking among our other production sites worldwide and central T&E.

 

Supporting success in the tasks

 

  • Education, such as Masters of Science in engineering e.g process technology, machinery or electrical/automation
  • Previous work experience in the project management
  • Initiative, activity, positive attitude towards development and resilience to pressure
  • Good communication, co-operation and interaction skills
  • Smooth use of information systems and preferably SAP
  • Good oral and written skills in English and Finnish. All other languages are asset.
