We are hiring!

 

We’re on the lookout for a Raw Materials/Ligno Tester to ensure that all logs & chips meet the required quality standards, good quality Sodium Ligno-sulphonate is dispatched to Customers in a safe manner.


As a Raw Materials/Ligno Tester, you will be responsible to:

  • Starts and Stops plant as required.
  • Ensures that proper sampling techniques are applied to ensure that samples selected are good representatives.
  • Ensures the correct Lignin product is loaded into tankers and does the necessarry dosages to specialised products 
  • Manages Mill Ligno Tanks in communication with the NSSC and Spray Dryer Operators 
  • Manages Trucks and communicates with the gate on backlong and reports on delays 
  • Ensures that mill receives good quality raw materials from the suppliers and to keep accurate records of incoming timber.
  • Correctly takes Ligno-sulphonate samples (testing of Solids, PH, etc.) as per specifications and procedure.
  • Correctly transfers and drains lingo-sulphonate, from/to storage tanks as per Foremen/Specialist instruction.
  • Changes over and cleans strainer daily.
  • Loads and Offloads Road tankers as per delivery notes.
  • Conducts Isolation Permits as /when required.
  • Assist Copeland Field Operator with Sodium Sulphite productions, using of Forklift and Over Head Crane to move/lift Sodium Bags.

 

What are we looking for?

 

Relevant Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric and N3 Pulp & Paper Certificate (4 subjects) and/or relevant NQF Level 5 qualification.
  • Computer Literate (MS Office Package).
  • Minimum (1) year Plant Operations Experience.
