Key Responsibilities:

Optimize Equipment: Develop strategies for maximum equipment efficiency.

Engineering Support: Provide installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for DCS, QCS, VSD Drives, and hydraulic systems.

Maintain Electrical Integrity: Oversee our 132kV yard and 11kV power reticulation system.

Project Management: Manage capital projects in line with Sappi standards.
-
Identify Improvements: Justify capital expenditure for new equipment and upgrades.
-
Contract Management: Negotiate and ensure compliance with engineering contracts.
-
Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe work environment per legal regulations.

Lead the Team: Develop and align the electrical engineering team with organizational goals.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering (4-year program) or National Higher Diploma in Engineering.

Government Certificate of Competence (Factories).
-
Relevant management qualification; Professional Engineer registration is a plus.
-
8-10 years of relevant experience; Pulp and Paper industry experience is advantageous.
