We are hiring!

 

We’re looking for an Artisan Assistant to support the safe execution of less complex maintenance tasks and assist Artisans with more advanced maintenance duties, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our equipment.

 

As an Artisan Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform maintenance, assistance and repair of equipment concerning the fabrication workshop.
  • Obtain licence as “authorised workman” as per Sappi lock out procedure and assist production personnel with isolation process where required.
  • Comply with legislation - safe handling of, identifying, sorting and disposal of waste in correct waste streams.
  • Correct selection and use of tools for the job and maintenance there-of.
  • Obtain licences for various mobile equipment as found on Ngodwana Mill.
  • Assist Artisans with breakdowns and opportunity maintenance and perform tasks as per competency level.
  • Move and transport of equipment in the workplace as required.
  • Ensure a safe working environment with the development of safety and housekeeping strategies.
  • Ensure that the section complies in all respects with the relevant statutory requirements.

 

 What are we looking for?

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science.
  • Trade Test advantageous
  • Valid driving license.
