Join Our Team as a Commodity Specialist!

We're looking for a skilled Commodity Specialist to support our management in planning, executing, and controlling the procurement process to meet customer expectations and company goals. You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for tactical, non-category managed products.
  • Analyze supply markets and demand patterns to inform decisions.
  • Negotiate short- and medium-term commercial agreements.
  • Draft and finalize supply and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance in agreement drafting.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with specifications and sourcing strategies.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for contract placement.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma/NQF Level 6-7 in Supply Chain Management.
  • 5-8 years of experience in industrial, procurement, materials management, or finance.
  • Experience in technical or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • SAP MM experience is advantageous.
