We are hiring!

 

We’re looking for an Condition Monitoring Assistant to support engineering maintenance and operations personnel with regards to oil condition and run ability of equipment by utilizing oil analysis.

 

As an Condition Monitoring Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform particle count, viscosity, crackle, and coulometer water tests on oil samples as per Ngodwana Mill procedures.
  • Conduct membrane tests on samples failing particle counts or deemed too dirty for standard testing.
  • Collect and analyze weekly turbine oil samples following all applicable procedures.
  • Report defects and non-conformances via SAP notifications and inform relevant parties with recommendations.
  • Carry out ad hoc oil analyses and prepare solutions for coulometer tests as needed.
  • Log all analysis data into the RBM Oil View system and manage oil sample storage and waste per mill standards.
  • Maintain the oil sample library and calibrate all testing equipment every three months.
  • Compile month-end reports and assist the condition monitoring analyst with laser alignment and vibration readings.

 What are we looking for?

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science or an N3 Engineering Science NQF L4 qualification.
