Join Our Team: Electrician Wanted!

We’re looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team and help ensure the availability, reliability, and effectiveness of our plant equipment. You’ll be responsible for electrical fault finding, repairs, installations, and maintenance, while ensuring tools and materials are properly maintained.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, commission, maintain, and modify electrical equipment, including PLCs, drives, and control systems.
  • Perform maintenance and remedial work based on SAP notifications, work orders, and schedules.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems during breakdowns and complete necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and recommend repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Test AC/DC motors for condition, including windings, insulation, and core lamination.
  • Report defects, manage spare parts, and track through SAP.
  • Follow SHEQ standards, report unsafe acts, and assist in incident investigations.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with work permits and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Recognized Trade Test Certificate as an Electrician
  • Grade 12 / N3 Engineering qualification
  • 2+ years post-apprenticeship experience in electrical fault finding (heavy industrial environment preferred)
  • Valid driving license
