We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team and contribute to the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of plant equipment. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production through effective maintenance, fault-finding, and installation of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities

Install, test, commission, maintain, and modify electrical equipment, including PLCs, drives, and control systems.

Perform maintenance and remedial work based on SAP notifications, work orders, and maintenance schedules.

Conduct fault finding and breakdown repairs to minimize production downtime.

Carry out routine inspections and recommend corrective and preventative maintenance actions.

Test AC and DC motors, including windings, insulation resistance.

Identify and report equipment defects, manage spare parts, and maintain accurate records via SAP.

Adhere to SHEQ standards, report unsafe acts, and assist in incident investigations.

Maintain high housekeeping standards and comply with all work permit and safety procedures.
Minimum Requirements

Recognised Trade Test Certificate – Electrician

Grade 12 and/or N3 Engineering qualification
-
Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in electrical fault finding (heavy industrial environment preferred)

Valid driver’s licence
