We are hiring! 

Seeking an Environmental Technician to ensure mill compliance with environmental policies and regulations, including tasks and internal reporting on environmental performance.

 

As an Environmental Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor adherence status to the environmental management system.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 accredited environmental management systems.
  • Comply with relevant safety and environmental requirements.
  • Collect and consolidate environmental data for compliance and performance reports.
  • Collect information and data for audit purposes.
  • Conduct environmental inspections and checks on work instructions and registers.
  • Coordinate plant surveys and support requirements for external environmental inspections and audits.
  • Provide environmental induction, awareness, and training for employees/contractors.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma (Environmental/Chemical Engineering) or equivalent, or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental management field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in environmental management and compliance within the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with environmental legislation and licensing processes.
  • Preferably completed at least 1 year of Environmental Internship.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly in MS Office Suite.
