We’re on the lookout for a Process Relief Operator Uptakes#3 to assist production in reducing overtime by providing leave/training relief.


As a Process Relief Operator, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Managing Shifts: Take and hand over shifts efficiently.

  • Ensuring Operational Excellence: Operate processes/equipment according to best practices.

  • Executing Section Specific Interventions: Complete planned initiatives for designated sections.

  • Providing Relief Operations: Substitute for operators and fulfill their duties.

  • Assisting in Breakdowns: Aid foremen/operating staff during breakdowns and supervise as needed.

  • Maintaining Incident Records: Record all incidents accurately in the shift logbook.

  • Reporting Equipment Issues: Notify foremen promptly of breakdowns/faulty equipment.

  • Promoting Safety and Compliance: Understand and adhere to SHEQ requirements, maintain high housekeeping standards, and identify/rectify hazards.

 

What are we looking for?

  • N3 Pulp & Paper / Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science.
  • 0-3 months experience as a Process Trainee/Production Intern.
  • National Diploma Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering would be advantageous.
