Sappi Ngodwana seeks an experienced Pulp & Paper Process Specialist to enhance plant efficiency safely and cost-effectively, using technical skills to establish and maintain high operational standards.

 

As a Process Specialist, you will be responsible to:

  • Review and inspect critical performance parameters daily.
  • Maintain a historical record of operating parameters.
  • Mentor and support operating personnel.
  • Develop and update Best Operating Practices and Safe Work Procedures.
  • Manage section costs within the budget.
  • Investigate unplanned downtime, implement corrective actions, and conduct Root Cause Analysis.
  • Facilitate team-based problem-solving for corrective actions.
  • Ensure personnel competency, development, and update training manuals regularly.

 

What are we looking for?

  • BSc in Chemical Engineering, BTech in Pulp and Paper, BTech in Chemical Engineering, or Advanced Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper.
  • 8 years of experience with pulp or paper machines.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
