We’re on the lookout for a Pulp Feeder to operates pulp conveyors and all repulper storage while ensuring the correct pulp reel/bale ratio and consistency are being supplied to the PM1 and/or PM2 raw stock chest in a safe and efficient manner, enabling PM1 and PM2 to run continuously.

 

As a Pulp Feeder you will be responsible for:

 

Personal Development, Health, Legal and Plant Licenses

  • Ensure all personal legal licenses and medical screenings are valid and up to date
  • Adhere to all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) requirements, including PPE compliance, reporting incidents/near misses, and maintaining good housekeeping (5S)

 

Plant Operation

  • Operate pulp feed and bale conveyors safely and efficiently
  • Maintain correct bale feeding ratios to support optimal production
  • Remove wires, wrappers, and foreign objects before feeding pulpers
  • Clear blockages on conveyors and assist with pulper blockages in line with safety procedures

 

Production and Engineering Maintenance Work

  • Conduct plant inspections and report defects or abnormalities to the Outside Operator
  • Follow isolation (lockout) procedures and ensure proper shift handover, including closing or handing over open work permits

 

What are we looking for?

  • Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science or N3 Pulp and Paper.
  • 3 months in Pulp and Paper industry will be advantageous.
