We’re looking for a skilled Shift Electrician to perform maintenance tasks ensuring plant availability and reliability. Focus on fault finding, repairs, installations, and upgrades of electrical systems and equipment, while ensuring tools and materials are available and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and manage day-to-day risks to maintain a safe work environment.
- Report unsafe acts and comply with SHEQ requirements and best practices.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and follow organizational policies.
- Perform electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs per SAP work orders.
- Conduct daily/weekly inspections and recommend preventative maintenance.
- Test AC/DC motors, analyze findings, and prepare status reports.
- Assist with breakdowns, isolate processes, and obtain valid work permits.
- Share knowledge with colleagues and participate in SHEQ incident investigations.
Requirements:
- Recognized Trade Test Certificate as an Electrician
- Recognized Trade Test Certificate as a Millwright would be advantageous
- Grade 12 / N3 Engineering qualification
- 2+ years post-apprenticeship experience in electrical fault finding (heavy industrial environment preferred)
- Valid driving license
