Position Summary: 

 

As a member of the Sappi North America Sales & Marketing team supporting marketing and customer service.  The internship involves interaction and coordination between multiple functional groups supporting outside sales, logistics, and supply chain operations. 

 

Major Job Responsibilities: 

  • To provide operational excellence by delivering superior customer service and focusing on continuous improvement for our customer support activities.  The position will help with vacation coverage and work with the team to manage customer orders and the order fulfillment process. 

  • This internship will provide the opportunity to identify a point of interest for the required co-op project, as well as work with the inside sales team and other relevant departments to secure the information and support necessary to complete the project during the duration of the internship. 

 

Job Functions: 

  • Work with Sappi mills, warehouses, and the Inside Sales team to support tactical activities for delays, stock checks, and rerunning orders.  

  • Will learn about the process of order placement through fulfillment in an allocated market for graphics, packaging, and specialty products produced both domestically and globally.  

 

Minimum Education and Skills Requirement 

  • Currently enrolled in a four (4) year Pulp & Paper, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business major. 

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, oral and written communications skills with the ability to work with various personnel to meet departmental needs. 

  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently and possess the ability and desire to work effectively, with attention to detail, to meet the requirements of the position.
