This position is for an individual who enjoys working with other employees in a challenging role to process and ship quality paper at a competitive cost to our valued customers. It also allows for personal growth as a leader in the operations and logistics aspects of our business. The person in this role is integral to the overall success of the Finishing and Shipping Department as well as the Somerset Mill and is a key member of the management team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • As a key member of the F&S team, you will lead safety initiatives that ensure an accident-free and safe workplace.
  • You will lead your team’s efforts to deliver converting, roll handling and loading productivity goals at low cost, meet all quality and transportation requirements/regulations, and continuously improve operational performance.
  • You will manage the day-to-day operations and lead the shift crew with effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork and administrative skills to meet site objectives.
  • You will work in conjunction with maintenance personnel to ensure equipment uptime, reliability and asset life in your area of responsibility.
  • You will work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure warehouse inventory and shipping goals are achieved

  • Meet or exceed departmental safety and objectives.
  • Meet or exceed targeted production, loading, quality, and cost goals.
  • Manage a diverse, highly skilled workforce in a team-oriented, self-directed environment to meet the business needs of the organization.
  • Develop good working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization in operations, maintenance, and supply chain departments.

 

Entry Requirements

BS degree or have 10 years of experience in a logistics, F&S or manufacturing related field and 3 or more years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Experience with MICS.
