We’re on the lookout for a Shift Analyst to maintain and improve the quality system in operations throughout the manufacturing and related processes by performing the testing in accordance to specified test methods, ensuring consistent compliance to performance standards and customer requirements.

 

 

As a Shift Analyst you will be responsible for:

 

  • Conducting routine quality testing in accordance with works instructions
  • Reporting on the test results related to sampling, inspection via the computerized laboratory network system together with entries on log sheets
  • Ensuring that test results are in conformance with specifications by checking results against the specification after analysis
  • Providing prompt feedback to production areas in cases of results on product not conforming to specification and immediate resampling and retesting
  • Taking necessary steps to isolate non-conforming material/products as per the laid down procedure
  • Maintaining a record of weekly calibration checks on the test apparatus to ensure that laboratory equipment is in perfect order and in accordance with the ISO 9001 requirements
  • Performing visual quality checks on raw materials and products during manufacture and during processing of the manufactured material
  • Assisting in investigation with regards to customer complaints 

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Matric, Full N2 Pulp & Paper or NQF Level 4 Paper Board
  • Working towards a N3 in Pulp and Paper is preferred
  • 4 years working experience in Pulp & Paper industry
  • 1- 2 years experience in Laboratory environment (e.g. testing, sampling) will be advantageous
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office)
