We are hiring!
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to perform a variety of financial and accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the company’s financial records. This role supports the month-end close process, ensures compliance with internal controls and policies, and provides timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible to:

Supervise, mentor, and manage the performance of a respective finance team.

Provide coaching and guidance to direct reports to enhance their performance and ensure they meet set standards. This include conducting performance reviews, having development conversations, and reviewing their development plans.

Perform accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including verifying, creating, changing and posting invoices and journals.

Conduct thorough and regular reconciliations of various accounts, including general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and sub-ledgers, to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.

Run, extract, and analyse various reports from SAP, exporting data to MS Excel for further review and submission to management and other departments.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls (e.g., ,POPIA, IFRS).
- Following up on uncleared transactions, investigating variances in reports, and providing guidance and solutions to both internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with ad-hoc general finance related queries.
What are we looking for?

A relevant 3-year diploma or degree in Accounting (NQF 6) is essential. An NQF 7 degree in Accounting will be an advantage.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years years of relevant experience in a financial or accounting environment.
- MS Office with advanced competency in excel

SAP certification preferable and any related information systems.

Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) will be advantageous.
