Entry requirements: |
Minimum of two years’ experience with the ability to perform Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, work as highlighted below. A Technical Degree and/or a certified Apprenticeship Program preferred. |
Overview
In this multicraft role, the ideal candidate will have a solid work history and be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate an ability to perform various E&I Technician duties from past experiences. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of personal and group safety within the workplace. The candidate will be a team player, working effectively with other craft employees, Mill operators, maintenance planners and supervision. The candidate will have experience troubleshooting and leading repairs to complex workplace equipment. Finally, candidates will demonstrate an ability to read manuals, blueprints and working drawings, plan and lay out work, and take accurate measurements using devices common to the craft.
Responsibilities

Work experiences with AC/DC Drives, I/A DCS and Rockwell (AB) PLC
-
Troubleshooting, repair, replacement and calibration of electrical control instrumentation such as, temperature, pressure, ph., conductivity, turbidity, flow meters, valve positioner actuators and associated 4-20ma control loops, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Steam Systems, Foxboro Spec 200

Experience with High Pressure Boilers and high voltage distribution

Demonstrate awareness of Electrical safe work practices including NFP70e awareness

Rigging experience, be able to safely rig all types of equipment
Special Skills including license certification

Electrical Journyperson License and/or ISA Certification preferred

Methodical problem solving ability

Computer skills, including experience with SAP

Strong interpersonal and communication skills such as log entries or work order documentation

Ability to balance multiple tasks and conflicting priorities with confidence and accuracy
Working Conditions
-
Shift work may be required, as well as occasional weekend and holiday coverage

Occasional Call-ins on nights and weekend, need to respond within an hour
-
Occasional work required from ladders, elevated platforms, hot and cold locations
