Position
Manager Paper Production (m/w/d)
In this role you will lead and further develop the production organization, managing multiple leaders and technical specialists across the Paper Machine, Coating and Rewinder departments.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the Paper Production area
- Responsibility for maintaining and continuously improving standards in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ)
- Ensuring an optimal production process with regard to output volume and product quality
- Contributing to technical and technological improvements and the further development of the production line
- Ensuring optimal workforce deployment in terms of qualifications and staffing levels
- Implementing Operational Excellence objectives and training employees within the area of responsibility
- Promoting a sustainable Lean and Continuous Improvement culture through KPI management, employee development, and structured improvement processes
- Managing costs, budget control, raw material planning, and workforce planning
- Leading and supporting technical optimization projects and production trials to improve quality, runnability, and efficiency
- Supporting product qualifications, product launches, and the continuous optimization of existing products
- Assisting in the preparation of the production program
Profile:
- Successfully completed university degree in Paper Technology, Process Engineering, or a comparable Eudcation
- Proven experience in leading managers and larger production organizations
- Proficient in SAP, ABB systems, and common MS Office applications
- Strong knowledge of paper manufacturing processes and extensive experience in industrial paper production
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and KPI management
- Strong change management and communication skills
- Strategic mindset combined with a strong ability to execute
- High focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
