We’re looking for an experienced Instrumentation Mechanician to join our team and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our plant. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining plant reliability, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install & Commission: Install, commission, and modify instruments and DCS equipment to meet both Engineering and Production standards.

  • Optimize Process Control: Fine-tune and troubleshoot process control systems (DCS) to ensure optimal performance and meet all requirements.

  • Repair & Replace Instruments: Use specialized tools to remove, clean, repair, and replace faulty instruments.

  • Assemble & Calibrate: Reassemble instruments and calibrate to ensure precise and accurate functioning in line with industry standards.

  • Maintain Records: Document calibrations, repairs, and maintain accurate inventory records for spare parts.

  • Create Documentation: Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to track changes to instruments, circuits, and systems.

  • Support Team Efforts: Contribute to the efficient operation of the team by completing assigned duties and collaborating with others.

  • Promote Safety & Compliance: Adhere to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) standards, investigate incidents, identify non-conformities, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification: A recognized Instrumentation Trade Certificate accredited by Manpower or SETA.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience in instrumentation fault finding, ideally within an industrial setting.
