Entry requirements:

Five years experience preferred with the ability to perform Millwright, Machinist, and Pipe Fitter work as highlighted below. 

A two year Technical Degree and/or a certified Apprenticeship Program is desired.

Overview

 

In this multicraft role, the ideal candidate will have a solid work history and be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate an ability to perform various mechanical duties from past experiences.  The candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of personal and group safety within the workplace.  The candidate will be a team player, working effectively with other craft employees, Mill operators, maintenance planners and supervision.  The candidate will have experience troubleshooting and leading repairs to complex workplace equipment. Finally, candidates will demonstrate an ability to read manuals, blueprints and working drawings, plan and lay out work, and take accurate measurements using devices common to the craft.

 

Specific Job Requirements

 

  • Rigging and ability to estimate equipment weight and be able to safely rig all types of equipment.  Specifically, machine roll changes
  • Working with Machine Shop practices; Lathe & Milling Machines
  • Piping including; layout, welding, plumbing, hydraulics & tubing
  • Welding such as Stick, Tig Mig and gas torch operation. On the following materials mild steel, stainless steel, others as needed
  • Repairing and setting up precision rotating equipment

  • Technical Degree or equivalent preferred with five or more years experience preferred
